To our wonderful network of ScanCAD customers, sales representatives, suppliers and friends:
Given the ongoing global uncertainty in the wake of the unfolding COVID-19 situation, we felt it was time to reach out and touch base with you all. We know that there is a lot of fear and concern about the potential physical and economic aftermath and we wanted to share our thoughts on the topic and reassure you that we are tracking the situation closely and we are well positioned to provide continuity of support, services and order fulfilment.
As you know ScanCAD is an international company. We have customers in over fifty countries, employees in two countries and a network of sales representatives, distributors and partners across the globe. Many members of our network are already feeling the effects of school closures and travel restrictions. Even though each country’s response is slightly different, we know that this is one world and this is a reminder of just how small it truly is.
ScanCAD has been tracking the situation as it has been unfolding over the past few months and we have taken action to diversify our hardware supply-chains, ensure sufficient inventory levels and institute remote contingency plans to ensure our ability to continue business uninterrupted. Our diversified supply chains and inventory levels support ongoing speedy shipment capacity and remote work contingency plans ensure our ability to provide uninterrupted customer support and re-Engineering services.
ScanCAD is presently scheduled to attend two upcoming SMTA exhibitions (Dallas and Houston in the USA); we are actively monitoring the SMTA websites for updates and also paying close attention to the situation on the ground. We are planning on attending based off of the current situation, however please stay up-to-date by regularly monitoring our website, email and social media for messaging should anything change.
We have just entered our 30th year in business and if there is one thing that our experience has taught us, it is that we are all more resilient than it may seem. At times like this, it is helpful to remember the dozens of moments of fear and uncertainty that have come and gone in the last thirty years whether it was Y2K, the dot com bubble, SARS or even the great recession of 2008/2009. We are confident that this too shall pass and we are committed whole-heartedly to supporting our community as we all navigate moving forward — together.
Thank you for being part of our community,
The ScanCAD International Team
