Meet the ScanCAD Team
Travis Loving | CEO
Role & Mission:
As Incoming CEO of ScanCAD International, I’m guiding the leadership transition as Bill Loving gradually moves toward retirement. My journey at ScanCAD has spanned roles from Product Manager to CTO, and now to CEO, with a focus on empowering our incredibly smart, passionate, and hard-working team. With a background in Film Studies and an Executive MBA, I’m deeply motivated by understanding the ‘why’ behind what we do. My mission is to cultivate a culture of integrity, hard work, and value creation while solving real-world problems and making a tangible impact.
Hobbies & Interests:
I love staying connected to the natural world through snowboarding, gardening, and even keeping bees.
Fun Fact:
I’m a surprisingly good tap dancer!
William F. Loving| Founder & Chairman
Role & Mission:
I consult with the ScanCAD team as it moves into its next chapter. Over the past 35 years, ScanCAD has continually adapted its offerings to meet global customer needs and embrace new technology. Looking ahead, the next 35 years will focus on integrating AI, expanding our service business, and supporting customers in 58 countries.
Hobbies & Interests:
Enjoy a wide range of outdoor activities and exploring new destinations around the globe.
Fun Fact:
Avid golfer with four aces—and counting!
Susan M. Jurata-Loving | Chief Financial Officer
Role & Mission:
Responsible for Finance & Accounting, Planning, and HR. Celebrating 30 years with ScanCAD, I look forward to supporting the company’s next phase of growth.
Hobbies & Interests:
Enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities and traveling the globe.
Fun Fact:
Former performer with the Denver Broncos NFL Dance Team.
Maurizio Albani | Lead Developer
Role & Mission:
As ScanCAD’s Lead Developer for the past 35 years, I’ve helped drive the company’s growth from its earliest prototype to today’s advanced systems. My work focuses on advancing our core software while ensuring decades of data compatibility—from original 1990’s DOS systems to modern Windows 11—preserving our customers’ long-term investments. From building the first software on a 10 MHz PC to engineering systems capable of handling images 1,000 times larger, my mission is to keep ScanCAD at the technological forefront.
Hobbies & Interests:
Outside of software, my family and I dedicate time to philanthropic work, particularly water projects in Ghana. I engineered and helped secure sponsors for the 54 km Mafi-Zongo Water Project, serving roughly 10,000 people, and later created a 1.85 km extension to bring clean water to the village of Adalekpoe, a mission fully sponsored by ScanCAD.
Fun Fact:
My earliest software ran on a state-of-the-art IBM AT PC with just 640 Kb of RAM.
Jeff Rupert | Director of Sales & Business Development
Role & Mission:
I have been with ScanCAD for nearly 23 years and currently serve as Director of Sales and Business Development. With a background in engineering and technical support, I transitioned into sales to help deliver innovative solutions in PCB Reverse Engineering, Inspection, and Process Control. I’m passionate about collaborating with an exceptional team to make a meaningful impact in the electronics industry.
Hobbies & Interests:
I enjoy spending quality time with my family, especially at my parents’ cottage in Holland, Michigan, where we swim, bike, hike, and boat. My wife and I also love visiting our daughter in Boston and exploring new destinations together.
Fun Fact:
Before naming our daughter Daniella, my wife and I traveled to Moorea, an island near Tahiti. She loved it so much that “Moorea” became Daniella’s middle name!
Derek Trask | Service Bureau Manager
Role & Mission:
I manage and oversee all aspects of ScanCAD’s Service Bureau, including marketing, quoting, project and team management, as well as technical and customer support for PCB Reverse Engineering, inspection, and data modernization projects. What excites me most is SCI’s mission—not only helping the world and the environment with our software and services, but also valuing quality of life and “having a little fun along the way.” Treating employees, clients, and friends like family makes every day fulfilling.
Hobbies & Interests:
I enjoy working out, skiing, riding dirt bikes, attending concerts, spending time with family, and exploring the open road.
Fun Fact:
At 23, I helped design a new ski lift model called the “LPA Mechanism,” which has become the number-one selling lift model in North America over 15 years later.
Holly Hammons | Electrical Engineer
Role & Mission:
I lead ScanCAD’s efforts toward CMMC compliance, focusing on strengthening cybersecurity and embedding best practices across our operations. This work protects our systems and customers while preparing us to meet evolving industry requirements. I’m also passionate about contributing to sustainable innovation in the electronics industry, using reverse engineering to improve efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Hobbies & Interests:
Outside of work, I enjoy mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, trail running with my dog, and recently started learning to play guitar.
Fun Fact:
I’ve bikepacked the entire Colorado Trail twice—once westbound from Durango to Denver and once eastbound—carrying all my own gear and experiencing Colorado’s landscape in a uniquely rewarding way.
Sharon Lujan | Office Manager
Role & Mission:
I am ScanCAD’s Office Manager, joining the team in 2016 after retiring from accounting in 2015. I especially enjoy working with customers from around the world while putting my accounting skills to good use.
Hobbies & Interests:
I love spending quality time with my family.
Fun Fact:
My favorite moments are with my kids, Danielle and Bryan.
Will McLaughlin| Tech Specialist
Role & Mission:
I’m a Tech Specialist at ScanCAD, focusing on PCB delamination and Gerber projects while supporting shipping operations. I also take on side projects in coding, data management, and marketing—helping wherever I can to tinker, problem-solve, or make processes run more smoothly. Being part of a growing small business and contributing to its future direction is what excites me most.
Hobbies & Interests:
I enjoy making and playing video games, camping, and exploring the outdoors. I’m on a mission to visit as many national parks as possible—recently checking off Rocky Mountain and Great Sand Dunes, with White Sands next on the list. Hiking and skiing are also big favorites.
Fun Fact:
I grew up in a military family and spent about seven years living in Belgium, which sparked my love for travel and discovering new places.
Jessica Loving| Chief Marketing Officer
Role & Mission:
I am the Chief Marketing Officer at ScanCAD, leading the company’s communications strategy. I’m passionate about aligning and igniting our social media, email, and website efforts into a cohesive plan that reflects our vision.
Hobbies & Interests:
I enjoy being creative in daily life and spending time outdoors. Snowboarding, hiking, camping, offroading, and time with my kids—Violet, Jasper, and River—are some of my favorite ways to recharge.
Fun Fact:
I am also an artist, creating large abstract expressionist paintings inspired by light.
While we focus on delivering industry-defining CAD tools and the world’s most advanced PCB reverse engineering services, our culture is grounded by the spirit of our office pups. Their unconditional love enriches our work, reminding us to keep things light and embrace the occasional chaos. After all, nothing clears the mind quite like a game of tag under the conference table during a strategy meeting.
Oliver “Karl” Loving | Chief Barking Officer
Chief Barking Officer / Early Warning System / Definitely Not an Emotional Support Animal
Human: Travis (but you wouldn’t know it by where Oliver chooses to sit)
Job Duties:
Providing intense security enforcement—mainly against mail carriers, light wind, or absolutely nothing.
Alerting everyone that his humans are not at their desks (critical information).
Barking first, asking questions never.
Key Traits:
Loud. So loud. And for reasons known only to Oliver.
Deeply suspicious of surprises, people, cars, air, etc.
Refuses to sit near either of his actual owners, for independence… or spite?
Has… quirks. We love him for it.
“Beefmaster” Brava | Princess Valium / The Baby
Title: Princess Valium / The Baby
Human: Derek
Job Duties:
Silent alarm system for anything Lemon-related.
Attempting (and failing) to calm Oliver during his “outbursts”
Staring majestically out the window like a Victorian ghost.
Serving as Lemon’s best friend and emotional support sidekick.
Key Traits:
Quiet, chill, and slow — but in a totally endearing way.
Extra cute. Like, cartoon-character-level cute.
Just trying her best to keep the peace in this chaotic little office pack.
Lemon | Director of Mischief
Title: Director of Mischief
Human: Holly
Job Duties:
Running the office (unofficially, but let’s be honest… officially).
Stealing trash and making Holly chase her for it (agility training for humans).
Wrestling with Brava, chasing Oliver around the meeting table and spreading joyful chaos.
Looking very sad for no reason to earn extra attention.
Key Traits:
Cute and fluffy with a side of sass.
Side-eyes like a pro.
Scared of the office robot vacuum, yet somehow fearless when it comes to stealing toys from other dogs.
Knows a dozen tricks. Will perform exactly none of them unless she’s in the mood.
Loves swimming, frisbee, her RC car, and being admired by all.
its inception.
