Meet the ScanCAD Team
Travis Loving | CEO
As Incoming CEO for ScanCAD International, I’m currently working through a leadership transition as Bill Loving slowly moves toward retirement—a role I’ve been working toward for years after evolving through positions like Product Manager and most recently, CTO. My biggest focus is simple: empowering and enabling our team of incredible, smart, passionate, and hard-working individuals. Having built my foundation with two degrees in Film Studies and an Executive MBA, I’m deeply passionate about the ‘why’ behind what we do. I genuinely enjoy cultivating a culture, both within and outside the company, that is laser-focused on integrity, hard work, and value creation. We are committed to solving real-world problems and having a tangible impact, and that mission is what gets me out of bed every morning.
When I’m not focused on strategy and technology, I’m committed to staying connected to the natural world. My favorite ways to reset include hitting the slopes for snowboarding, getting my hands dirty with gardening, and even keeping bees. And for a fun fact that usually surprises people? I am actually a pretty decent tap dancer!

The next 35 will be no different by embracing AI, growing our service business and supporting our our global customer base in 58 countries.
Hobbies & Interest:
A wide variety of outdoor activities & global travel.
Fun fact:
Golfer with four aces and counting..!
Susan M. Jurata-Loving | Chief Financial Officer
Maurizio Albani | Lead Developer
Quick explanation of role at SCI:
As ScanCAD’s Lead Developer for the past 35 years, my work has been fundamental to the company’s growth, starting from its very prototype. My role involves constantly advancing our core software, a journey that began with reconstructing PCB data by marrying raster and Gerber information. Crucially, I’ve maintained job data compatibility across four decades, preserving customer investment from our original 1990s DOS systems to today’s Windows 11—a commitment virtually unmatched in our industry. From creating the first software on a 10 MHz PC to engineering systems that handle images 1,000 times larger, my focus remains on keeping ScanCAD at the technological forefront.
What excites you most about your involvement in SCI mission:
The greatest satisfaction in my work is creating powerful, reliable systems that provide decades of data compatibility.
Hobbies and interests:
Outside of software, my family and I prioritize philanthropic work, particularly through major water projects in Ghana. Working with other volunteers, I engineered and helped secure sponsors for the Mafi-Zongo Water Project, a 54 km long pipeline system serving approximately 10,000 people. I later engineered a separate 1.85 km extension to bring clean water to the small village of Adalekpoe, a mission 100% sponsored by ScanCAD.
One Fun Fact:
One fun fact is that my early software was designed to run on a state-of-the-art IBM AT PC with a whopping 640 Kb of RAM.
Jeff Rupert | Director of Sales & Business Development
Title: Director of Sales & Business Development
Quick explanation of role at SCI:
I have been with ScanCAD for nearly 23 years and currently serve as the Director of Sales and Business Development. My background in engineering and technical support paved the way for my transition into sales, where we focus on delivering innovative solutions for PCB Reverse Engineering, Inspection, and Process Control.
What excites you most about your involvement in SCI mission:
I am truly passionate about collaborating with an exceptional team on projects that make a significant impact in the electronics industry. The invaluable relationships I’ve built here inspire me, and I’m excited about the opportunities the future will bring.
Hobbies and interests:
I love spending quality time with my family, particularly at my parents’ cottage in Holland, Michigan, where we swim, bike, hike, and boat. My daughter, Daniella, recently got married and moved to Boston, and my wife and I enjoy visiting her and exploring the city, as well as traveling to other exciting destinations.
One Fun Fact:
Before naming our daughter Daniella, my wife and I traveled to Moorea, an enchanting island near Tahiti. My wife fell in love with it so much that she chose “Moorea” as Daniella’s middle name!
Derek Trask | Service Bureau Manager
Quick explanation of role at SCI
Manages and oversees all aspects of ScanCAD’s Service Bureau. This includes the front end marketing, quoting, project / team management, as well as technical and customer support for PCB RE, inspection and data modernization types of projects.
What excites you most about your involvement in SCI mission
SCI’s mission is essentially to help the world and environment with our software and services. But the most important part is at the end, it states that we should “have a little fun along the way”. That is the most exciting part of SCI, that the company respects the quality of life of its employees, friends and clients – We treat them all like family. That sort of thing is hard to find and the reason I feel happy getting up to go to work every day.
Hobbies and interests
Working out, skiing, dirt bikes, concerts, family and enjoying the open road.
One fun fact
I helped design a new model of ski lift at 23 years old called the “LPA Mechanism”. It has since become the number one selling lift model in North America to this day over 15 years since its inception.
Holly Hammons | Electrical Engineer
Quick explanation of role at SCI
I lead SCI’s ongoing efforts toward CMMC compliance, focusing on strengthening our cybersecurity and embedding best practices across our operations. This work helps protect our systems and customers while preparing us to meet evolving requirements.
What excites you most about your involvement in SCI mission
I’m inspired by the opportunity to contribute to sustainable innovation in the electronics industry. Our work in reverse engineering printed circuit boards supports efficiency and environmental responsibility, and I am passionate about the role this plays in making electronics more sustainable for the future.
Hobbies and interests
Outside of work, I enjoy mountain biking, camping, rock climbing, and trail running with my dog. I’ve also recently started learning to play guitar.
One fun fact
I’ve bikepacked the entire Colorado Trail twice, once westbound from Durango to Denver and once eastbound, carrying all my own gear along the way. It was a challenging and rewarding way to experience Colorado’s landscape and connect with others on the trail.
Sharon Lujan | Office Manager
Quick explanation of role at SCI
I am ScanCAD’s Office Manager; I started working at ScanCAD in 2016 after retiring from accounting in 2015. When asked what my favorite aspect of the job is, I most enjoy working with customers from all over the world while being able to use my accounting skillset.
One fun fact
I most enjoy time with my kids, Danielle and Bryan.
Will McLaughlin| Tech Specialist
Quick explanation of role at SCI
I’m a Tech Specialist who spends most of my time working on PCB delamination and Gerber projects, along with supporting shipping operations. I also dive into side projects involving coding, data management, and marketing. Helping anywhere I can tinker, problem-solve, or make things run smoother.
What excites you most about your involvement in SCI mission
What really excites me is being part of a growing small business and seeing how far we can take it. There’s a lot of energy and possibility here, and it’s fun to imagine where the company could go next and know I get to help shape that.
Hobbies and interests
I love making and playing video games, camping, and getting outdoors whenever I can. Recently I’ve started trying to visit as many national parks as I can, I recently checked off Rocky Mountain and Great Sand Dunes, with White Sands next on the list. Hiking and skiing are also big favorites whenever I can sneak in a trip.
One fun fact
I grew up in a military family and spent about seven years living in Belgium, which gave me a big appreciation for travel and experiencing new places.
Jessica Loving| Chief Marketing Officer
Quick explanation of role at SCI
I am the Chief Marketing Officer here at ScanCAD.
What excites you most about your involvement in SCI mission
I absolutely love being involved with ScanCAD’s communications vision. I love helping tie together their social media, email, website in a communications plan that is aligned and ignited.
Hobbies and interests
I love being creative in my daily life, as well as playing outside. I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, camping, offroading and spending time with my kids — Violet, Jasper and River.
One fun fact
I am also an artist — I paint large abstract expressionist paintings that are inspired by light.
Sure, we’ve built industry-defining CAD tools and offer the most advanced PCB reverse engineering services in the world… but none of that compares to the unconditional love (and occasional chaos) our dogs bring to the office. They remind us to take breaks, keep things light, and occasionally chase each other under the conference table at full speed during meetings. You know — standard productivity strategy.
Oliver “Karl” Loving | Chief Barking Officer
Chief Barking Officer / Early Warning System / Definitely Not an Emotional Support Animal
Human: Travis (but you wouldn’t know it by where Oliver chooses to sit)
Job Duties:
Providing intense security enforcement—mainly against mail carriers, light wind, or absolutely nothing.
Alerting everyone that his humans are not at their desks (critical information).
Barking first, asking questions never.
Key Traits:
Loud. So loud. And for reasons known only to Oliver.
Deeply suspicious of surprises, people, cars, air, etc.
Refuses to sit near either of his actual owners, for independence… or spite?
Has… quirks. We love him for it.
“Beefmaster” Brava | Princess Valium / The Baby
Title: Princess Valium / The Baby
Human: Derek
Job Duties:
Silent alarm system for anything Lemon-related.
Attempting (and failing) to calm Oliver during his “outbursts”
Staring majestically out the window like a Victorian ghost.
Serving as Lemon’s best friend and emotional support sidekick.
Key Traits:
Quiet, chill, and slow — but in a totally endearing way.
Extra cute. Like, cartoon-character-level cute.
Just trying her best to keep the peace in this chaotic little office pack.
Lemon | Director of Mischief
Title: Director of Mischief
Human: Holly
Job Duties:
Running the office (unofficially, but let’s be honest… officially).
Stealing trash and making Holly chase her for it (agility training for humans).
Wrestling with Brava, chasing Oliver around the meeting table and spreading joyful chaos.
Looking very sad for no reason to earn extra attention.
Key Traits:
Cute and fluffy with a side of sass.
Side-eyes like a pro.
Scared of the office robot vacuum, yet somehow fearless when it comes to stealing toys from other dogs.
Knows a dozen tricks. Will perform exactly none of them unless she’s in the mood.
Loves swimming, frisbee, her RC car, and being admired by all.
its inception.
