General Enhancements

Retooled Layer Navigator

Now, you can independently toggle the active gerber, active raster/color, reference gerber, and reference raster/color from within the graphics environment. Gone are the days of exiting the graphics environment just to change layers!

JPEG Image Output

Our new JPEG image compression feature allows you to export full-size images at a fraction of the original’s file size while retaining most of the quality. This enhancement significantly boosts the portability of images exported from our software, ensuring minimal loss in quality.

Fine Overlap on Raster

You can now manually rotate images to align with Gerber on any layer. Previously, only layer 1 supported fine raster overlap, but now this functionality is available on all layers, providing the flexibility you require!

New Pan Function

You can now use the middle mouse button to manually grab and drag the image around. This upgraded pan function allows for simplified navigation using just the middle mouse button.

Inspection Enhancements

Enhanced Scan & Inspect Same Part Again

Scan & Inspect Same Part Again is the bread and butter of automated inspection. It allows for streamlined scanning, color separation, and inspection of the same part. This function has seen a number of improvements this release including:

Raster rubber overlap is now used by default for alignment (previously gerber rubber overlap was used). This maintains the integrity of the inspection gerber data.
Gray separation can now be used in addition to color separation if desired.
Aperture Area Check can be used instead of Gerber Comparison Check if desired.

Reference ID Display

Reference designators are now displayed in the status line and in inspection reports when they overlap a component instance. This is extremely helpful in locating errors on an artifact based on the component location.

Enhanced Add Error Locations to Color Image

Add Error Locations to Color Image and Export now uses jpeg compression. This allows for a much smaller image while still retaining the quality necessary to properly document and communicate the captured errors.

Reverse Engineering Enhancements

Contour and Fill Around Gerber

We are very excited to announce this new feature that creates a gerber shape around a gerber mask. This function dramatically expedites the process of creating complex fills such as large copper planes.

Assembly Display

We have added a component display button on the status line that allows you to easily toggle the component side displayed (All | Top | Bottom).

Track Cursor Display

We have added several new track cursor display modes and changed the default track cursor display mode. The new cursor allows for much simpler visual contouring by providing 0-45-90 degree guides for track placement.
